Dresden, the splendid baroque capitol of Saxony is also called “Elbflorenz” – Florence on river Elbe – due to its great number of architectural masterpieces that are attracting international acclaim. The city's cultural scene blends the traditional and the modern. The Elbe Valley around Dresden, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasts lush meadows, magnificent villas and majestic palaces.
Our city tour will introduce you to the new and the old part of Dresden. The historic city centre houses magnificent palatial buildings such as the Zwinger Palace, the Semper Opera and the Residential Palace with the world famous New Green Vault, Europe's greatest jewellery treasure-house with a wealth of masterpieces from the Renaissance and the Baroque. One of the numerous highlights of this tour is the famous Church of Our Lady
(Frauenkirche), recently restored to its full beauty.

After a lunch break you will discover the medieval town of Meissen situated in the enchanting landscape of the Elbe Valley. After a walking tour through the historical city centre you visit the famous Porcelain Manufactory - the oldest in Europe - with the museum and the demonstration workshop. At the end the bus takes you back to Dresden.
